'Exploring Chi Kung thru education'
Taoist Movement and Meditation Classes
Stress management is not only about Massotherapy, it covers a wide spectrum of modalities. Chi Kung is an ancient art which enables one to connect with their own personal energy. Join us for some fun and relaxation at my office on Wednesday evenings between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. please call 216.548.8980 to reserve a spot $75.00 5 weekly classes at Brecksville Center for the Arts beginning September 9, 2010
The elemental force of Fire is the strongest in the Summer season. It is the time of year when the Heart/Small Intestine and the Pericardium/ Triple heater meridians are most active. Metal is about excitement, creating and making things happen. It is time to implement some of those creative ideas you have been exploring. It is time to move and get outside as much as possible, eating light foods that are cool. ( fresh salads and fruits in season) Exercise and breathe, meditate, drink lots of fresh water and keep hydrated. This is the time to revel in the lovely weather... play... explore nature! But remember! Always cover your neck with a light scarf. This is a good time to drink lots of fresh water, get the cardiovascular system moving. Remember that your endocrine (glandular) system is very active and talk to your health care professional for guidance if you think you feel too sluggish. Chi Kung practices, such as movement and meditation specifically intended to support the Heart/Small Intestine and the Pericardium/ Triple heater meridians will be the focus of our classes for the next few weeks. Join us for chi kung and meditation classes on Wednesday evenings. For more information please call me at 216.548.8980. or email me at m@beinthetao.com Better yet join my mailing list at the bottom of this page and keep in touch. Feng Shui, which is the movement of chi or energy thru your external environment is a way to clear out your surroundings and get rid of your junk. Chi Nei Tsang and meditation clear out your internal environment. So my suggestion is 'get out of your old predictable routine'. Do something fun outdoors. Get out and walk as much as possible but make sure you are dressed appropriately. The sun can fool you and before you know it you have a nasty burn! The sensory organ associated with the Fire element is taste. Eat some healthy good food. Explore stir frys, they are easier to make than you think! Buy a new cookbook and try something new. Try Some Chi Kung practices and strengthen your chi. Why not join us on Wednesdays and get the ball moving. I look forward to Seeing you there. Brecksville Center for the Arts Update
